Family Roots and New Beginnings

Lucky Sulistio's journey from a technician in Bogor, Indonesia to a seasoned mountain guide exemplifies the transformative power of nature and the resilience of the human spirit. Born into a family with modest means, Lucky's early years were shaped by the necessity of work to support himself and his loved ones. His father, a retired teacher, and his mother, a hardworking housewife, instilled in him values of perseverance and determination.

Growing up in the bustling city after an early childhood in a coastal village, Lucky's world revolved around the daily grind of work and responsibilities. However, a chance invitation from a friend in 2014 would change the course of his life forever. The suggestion to embark on a mountain climbing adventure to Mount Kencana marked the beginning of Lucky's profound connection with the natural world.

A New Sheet of Life

The initial climb to Mount Kencana, standing at 1803 meters above sea level, was a test of physical endurance and mental fortitude for Lucky and his friends. Being residents in a tropic nation who knew nothing about climbing, they suffered from challenges such as fatigue, heavy backpacks, and unfamiliar temperatures. The way to the peak was a way complaining each other. Nevertheless, reaching the summit brought a sense of awe and wonder that transcended the physical hardships. The breathtaking beauty of the landscape and the serene atmosphere at the peak left an indelible mark on Lucky's soul.

The mountains, once a distant landscape, had now become a source of solace and inspiration for Lucky.

Habits that Change

As a technician in a manufacturing company, grappling with the demands of a challenging job, Lucky found himself yearning for the tranquility and peace he experienced in the mountains. The monotony of work and the stresses of urban life drove him to seek solace in nature during his days off. Whether it was a trip to the beach, a visit to a waterfall, or a hike in the hills, the cool and calm of outdoor activities provided a much-needed respite from the rigors of his daily routine. Lucky's growing passion for camping and climbing led him to immerse himself in outdoor activities, expanding his knowledge and skills in preparation for more challenging expeditions. The risks inherent in outdoor pursuits only fueled his determination to equip himself with the necessary expertise and gear to ensure his safety and that of his companions.

In the crucible of nature, Lucky found a sanctuary from the chaos of urban life and a canvas for self-discovery and personal growth. The mountains, with their timeless beauty and unforgiving terrain, became a backdrop for his journey of resilience and transformation.
