However, what sets Na Giean socks apart from others? We exclusively use 100% Merino wool as the main yarn in our socks.
Our materials are simple, as most Na Giean socks consist of only three types of yarn: Merino wool, Nylon, and Spandex. It's important to note that not all Merino wool is the same; there are two types:
- 100% Merino wool - What Na Giean use in our socks
- Blended Merino wool. For example, the most common two types: Merino wool blended with Nylon and Merino wool blended with acrylic.
Various blended Merino wools have their own advantages. For example, Merino wool/acrylic blended yarn is softer than 100% Merino wool and more affordable. On the other hand, Merino wool/Nylon blended yarn offers better strength than 100% Merino wool, also at a lower cost. However, it's important to consider trade-offs: both Merino wool/acrylic blended yarn and Merino wool/Nylon blended yarn cannot match the breathability, moisture-wicking, and odor-resistant properties of 100% Merino wool.
